Step-by-Step Guide 2:

Installing additional Modules

Overview

In addition to the inbuilt functions, Jamovi offers a host of additional modules which extend the available functionalities. Additional modules make it easy to run additional tests and/or plot graphs

Additional modules are extremely easy to install. Below is a quick guide to some of the useful modules that you should consider installing.

Suggested Modules

Survey Plots

Survey Plot allows you to generate various nominal, ordinal and continuous plots such as bar charts and histograms.  These provide additional functionality to the standard plots and charts available.

Note: This module will not appear in the Analyses Bar. You can access these functions under the Analyses > Explore > Survey Plots

JJStatsPlot

This module allows you to create a series of plots for all data types as well as correlations between them. Each plot will come with some statistics - you will learn more about how to interpret them in later tutorials

Scatr

This module allows you to generate numerous exploratory scatter plots and Pareto Charts.

Note: This module will not appear in the Analyses Bar. You can access these functions under the Analyses > Explore > Scatterplot/ Pareto Chart

Flexplot

Flexplot provides you with tools to visualise your data analysis. Flexplot selects the most appropriate graphs based on the variables you have selected.

Walrus

This module offers you robust tests such as the t-test and ANOVA. These tests can be used when your data does not meet the normality assumptions.

Linear Models (General Analysis for Linear Modules)

Here you can find additional estimations for linear modules such as the General Linear Model, linear mixed models and Generalised linear models. Models can be estimated using categorical and/or continuous variables, with the option to facilitate interactions between variables, simple slopes, simple effects and contrast analysis. You can also visualise your results

Install Modules

1.

Go to Modules > Jamovi Library

Go to  the Analyses > Modules > Jamovi Library

2.

Select chosen module from list

In the pop-up menu select the module you would like to install.

Click on Install

Voila, you have now installed your first module.

Remove/Hide Modules

1.

Go to the Modules > Manage installed

Go to  the Analyses > Modules > Mange Installed

2.

Remove/Hide module

In the pop-up menu select the module you would Hide/Remove.

--

Hide: This removes your module for the Analyses tab - but does not uninstall it. You can make it visible at any time.

Remove: This uninstalls the selected module. You can always reinstall it following the steps above.

Click on Remove/Hide

Voila, you have now managed your first module
